How to get there
To get to the municipality of Firgas, visitors need to take the northern road Autovía del Norte from the capital of the Island, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and after approximately 8 kilometers turn off to the municipality of Arucas and then take an inland road to Firgas. This is a very scenic but somewhat winding road. It is approximately 28 kilometers from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to Firgas, although this short distance can take more than 35 minutes as the inland road has some sections requiring careful driving.
Visitors who wish to reach the municipality by public transport need to go to the Bus Station (Estación de Guaguas) in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and take bus number 201 or 202, both of which terminate in Firgas. The difference between these routes is that the 201 is shorter, as it does not go through the municipality of Arucas first. Both buses have a limited timetable: three journeys a day. It is also possible to take one of the buses going to Arucas (numbers 210, 234, 205, 206) and from there take bus number 211. This possibility has a range of timetables.
